On Sunday 25th August, the Axedale Community Golf Club held an MND Fundraising event for popular local, Peter Crone. Peter was diagnosed with an aggressive type of MND last September at just 55 years old.
Nicole Crone, Peter’s wife works at Catherine McAuley College, led by Principal Brian Turner. Brian approached the Danihers team to assist and get involved at this fundraising day. We were thrilled to have been asked to help fight the beast that is MND.
The support and attendance at this event was outstanding with a crowd of over 400. They played golf, they laughed, and they raised much needed funds. Community support and involvement was truly evident in Axedale on that Sunday.
Entertainment was provided by Tony Morwood, followed by Anthony and Terry Daniher, Paul Van der Har and David Flood. Danihers also donated four key auction items and were happy to MC for the day.
The Bendigo and Axedale communities showcased enormous support to their locals, and our team were thrilled to experience the care and passion demonstrated to Peter and his family.
