This month we will shine our spotlight on Danny Mulcahy, our new Facilities Manager at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College.
Danny comes to Danihers with extensive facility management experience in the education industry, managing hard and soft facility services, as well as supervising and training teams.
Tell us about yourself in 50 words or less
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as helping out at the local junior soccer and surf lifesaving with my children. In my spare time, I can be found traveling around, trying new golf courses and tinkering around the house.
What is your role at Danihers?
I am responsible for full facility management at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, which is spread across two campuses in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Describe a typical day in your role
Meet with my team first up for a quick rundown of the day. Then I check emails, attend meetings with contractors and teachers, etc. I’m always on hand to answer any queries or issues that may arise throughout the day.
Where have you worked before?
Before joining Danihers, I worked at Yeshivah Centre, Berry Street, Metropolitan Fire Brigade and Kangan Batman TAFE. In these roles I was responsible for property leases, essential services programs, reporting on OHS issues and developing environmental standards.

Developing and building a great team that meets all of the client’s expectations.
What is your favourite time of year and why?
School holidays because it gives everyone a chance to catch up on any outstanding work.
