This exciting tradeshow was labelled the “Protection & Management Series 2018”. The Protection and Management Series is a strategic collation of five world class trade shows.
It was an international blend of verticals, solutions and discussions across security, fire, safety, facilities management and field service management.
With over 1,600 suppliers showcasing 20,000 products, 45,000 professionals to network with and 250 hours of seminars, it was fair to say the three days went by very quickly.
It was terrific to mix with industry professionals and discuss business with like-minded people. Security was off the scale in size and presentation as the world comes to grips with trying to manage and maintain safety within our work and social spaces each day.
The expo was held at London Excell, situated in the old docklands and used most recently to host the London Olympics. As usual in London, the train pulled up at the front door, making access so easy, or you could catch a ferry which was a bit slower but a brilliant time to reflect on some of London’s great history.
Apart from learning about many suppliers and the services they offer, some of the key speakers were inspirational. I was impressed with the conference opening speaker Ruby Wax OBE. Her life story and battle with mental health was inspirational. Mental health has become an important element in all our lives. At Danihers, we embrace workplace health and safety and in particularly we value that mental health and wellbeing plays an integral part of our workplace and our team.
I was delighted to be able to source three state of the art IT Facility management platforms that drive communication from the coalface back to our head office. The key reporting platforms allow the end user and the customer to be in the loop daily. This will ensure that Danihers will deliver a seamless Facility Management contract service and deliver all KPI’s to all our clients.
We have narrowed this down to our preferred supplier and will be rolling this out between now and the end of the year, with hope to have all customers online in January 2019. It is a significant investment for our business, but we are extremely confident this program will put us at the forefront in delivering and reporting on our Facility service contract we have with each customer.
Danihers team are looking forward in introducing this new IT platform to you over the coming weeks and months, needless to say we have some significant internal training that will occur at the same time.
