Danihers Site Manager of the Year – Brendan McCarthy (Hume Anglican Grammar)

The criteria set for the Site Manager of the Year was very high, and included the ability to manage team members, stakeholder relationships (both internal and external), leadership, commitment to safety and governance, innovation, site and project management. Brendan has been consistent in his delivery by actively listening and he is always solution focused. He is always looking for innovative ways of doing things which is a testament to his leadership qualities. Brendan uses our maintenance system (DFMS) to the maximum capacity and his Project Management, Site Reports and Quality Audits are exceptional.
Danihers Business Partners of the Year – Dual Winners
This year for the 1st time ever there are dual winners in the category of Danihers Business Partner of the Year. Both winners display strong leadership qualities, professionalism and excel in building engaged teams. They both met the criteria for delivering training, compliance and have demonstrated an ability to work and shine within the Danihers Value system – The Danihers Way.
Danihers Business Partner of the Year – Scott Eeles (Catherine McAuley College Bendigo, St Monica’s Primary School – Bendigo, One School Global Bendigo, St Therese’s Primary School Kennington, St Joseph’s Primary School – Bendigo)

Scott provides service excellence to our clients, Scott has gained excellent QA results, tool box deliveries and compliance ratings. Scott has been a champion of the Danihers maintenance management system (DFMS) and continually strives for improvement.
Danihers Business Partner of the Year – Nalaka Mendis (Sacre Coeur College, Our Lady of Mercy College & Marcellin College)

Mendis provides service excellence to our clients and has gained excellent QA results, tool box deliveries and compliance ratings. Mendis looks after multiple clients with many complexities and he is always focused on solutions and how to do things better – which is inspiring and encouraging.
Danihers Way Award – Rob Nardella (Hume Anglican Grammar)

The Danihers Way Award is given to an employee who consistently embodies and integrates the Danihers Way values into their daily work and actions. Our core values are Integrity, Professional, Passionate, High-Quality, Service-Oriented and Approachable. Rob smoothly transitioned into Danihers and was quick and flexible to adapt to our values. Rob is agile and diligent with his work, and he has embraced our DFMS system to become a champion and an educator. He shows a great deal of empathy towards his colleagues and is one of the most reliable people you would ever meet. Rob has taken new team members under his care and is a real team player. Rob is always smiling and his approach to receiving feedback is commendable. He is very approachable and willing to help others.
Danihers Team Member of the Year- Jack Bennett (Genazanno FCJ College)

Jack has demonstrated exceptional dedication, skills and professionalism and has consistently gone above and beyond in his role. His proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues has significantly reduced downtime and prevented potential hazards. Whether it’s routine maintenance or emergency repairs, Jack handles each task with efficiency and a positive attitude.
He is committed to excellence and takes pride in his work and is always willing to lend a helping hand to colleagues. Jack’s ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining a high standard of quality is truly commendable. Additionally, his innovative focus on solutions and attention to detail have resulted in cost savings and improved operational efficiency. Jack’s hard work, dedication and positive attitude have not only enhanced the overall maintenance of the site but have also inspired the team.
Danihers Rising Star of the Year- Steve Huntly (Sacred Heart College Kyneton)

Steve embodies the Danihers values and is an exceptional communicator. His leadership and organisational skills are commendable; he is passionate, professional and maintains a calm and motivated presence. He is always striving for improvement and innovative solutions. Steve always thinks ahead and strives to come up with innovative solutions and strategies which save money for Sacred Heart College Kyneton and also great initiatives to save our planet.
Recognising Excellence: Awards and Prizes for Our Outstanding Achievers
This year for the 1st time ever we will be sending the winners of the Business Partner & Site Manager of the Year Awards to the ISSA Trade Show. This is an educational event where they will explore innovative ideas for cleaning and facility management services to enhance their knowledge and gain access to the latest products, innovation and build connections with industry leaders. All other award winners will receive travel vouchers from Helloworld Travel.
We were honoured to have so many outstanding nominees who embody excellence in everything they do which made the selection process incredibly difficult. While only a few could take home the awards, every nominee deserves recognition for their impact. Congratulations to all who were nominated—your efforts do not go unnoticed!
